steady start to the weekend trading

I think that this must have been the easiest day trading that I have ever had with only two trades for the day and both of them were profitable. I’ve been looking around at different strategies for trading on tennis because at the minuet I have just been going blindly into it without any real direction and I think that is what is holding me back. So hopefully I will find one to give a go it soon

The first trade that I did today was on the match between Diego Schwartzman and simone bolelli I started off the trade by backing bolelli at 3.15 after watching all of the 1st set to be honest there wasn’t much between them so I went in to it blind and my tack tic was to just hope and pray that they odds went into my favour and they did just that in the 4th game of the 3rd set when the odds dropped to 1.88 netting myself £5.40

The second trade that I did today was on the Guido Pella v Juan Carlos saez match there wasn’t much between these two, both of them on two games each but that didn’t show in the odds Pella was the clear favourite so I decided to lay him at 1.06 in the fifth game of the 1st set and it paid off because the odds went up after he ended up losing the first set so that lead me to back him making £10.70 if I had waited a few more games the odds went all the way up to 3.85 so I would have made a lot more profit off this trade. But I just didn’t have the guts to take it any further.

a few close calls.

Another good day for me I am proud to say with a grand profit of £15.55, well not all that grand but at this moment in time I am just as happy simply making a regular profit. the first two trades that I did weren’t easy, close games and not much movement tested my nerve to the max.

The first trade that I did was the match between monfils and Federer. I watched the game for a while and decided to lay monfils 6 games into the 3rd set at 1.05 that’s when I thought Federer isn’t going to come back and this could be a loss so when he won the 8th game of the 3rd set and the odds went in my favour I got out of the trade, backing monfils at 1.07 making me a measly profit of £0.40 I’ll take that rather than a loss.

The second trade that I did was on the match between basic and kravchuk this was a hard game to trade on because it was just so close all the way through and there want much movement but I had a go never the less. I started off by laying basic at 2.52 on the 11th game of the 3rd set hoping that he would lose a few games on the trot, but that didn’t happen I had to wait right till the last game and still there wasn’t any movement so I decided to get out while I could by backing basic at 2.25, just managing too break even on that one

The last trade that I did today was the most lucrative for me making me a massive £14.95. it was on the match between pella and baena. I started the trade in the 3rd game of the first set by laying pella at 3.75 it was risky move really hoping that the odds would go higher that this and they did all the way up to 14 in the 3rd game of the second set that’s when I couldn’t hold out any longer so I backed him closing the trade, it was a good job that I got out when I did because pella came back and went on to win, sealing my profit of £15.55 for the day.

getting back on the horse

Let’s start with the trading that I did last week, if you can call it trading. I don’t know what went wrong to be honest it just seemed to slip away from me towards the middle of the week resulting in another loss of £34.45 for the week so I didn’t have any trades at the start of this week up until today when I finally motivated myself to have another go.

I made an appreciated £12.30 for the day which let’s face it isn’t the most that I have won in a single day but it’s a start in the right direction. I only had two trades today the first one being the match between saez and heraz, saez won the first set leading me to lay him at 1.15 hoping that heraz would come back and he did winning the next couple of games then the odds went up 1.27 so I backed him closing the trade then when saez won making me £3.60.

The second and final trade of the day was on the match between samper-montana and olivo. This was a close match most of the way through but I managed to make £8.70 of it. Started off by backing olivo 2.92 at the end of the first set hoping that the odds would come down. They went up slightly at the beginning of the second set, this is when my heart skipped a beat but after winning a few games they came down then I laid him at 1.56 and with samper-montana winning that gave me a profit of £8.70 on that trade.

A steady day for me but I am glad that I didn’t have any losing trades and hopefully I will be back with more profit tomorrow

back to baby steps

Last week was a steady week of trading for me I had a few days off at the start of the week just to get my head straight after the overall loss of the previous week. Surprisingly it seems to have paid off with a grand profit of £47.23 for the week. I didn’t do as many trades as I have done in the past couple of weeks, focusing more on the individual trade’s one at a time. I think that after last week I have started to head into the right direction again and back in to the profit I hope that I can continue the way that I am trading on tennis at the minuet and the next step will be to maximize my profits without it ending in another debilitating loss.

These are a few of the best trades that I did last week.

Gas Line Boy 10/1

Daily Bargain got off to a good start with a winner on Tuesday with Miss Buckshot 6/1 winning however with no other winners all week the week ended drawing a blank better than a loss but no progress made which was very frustrating after such a positive start

ProBet had a similar week with it ending in frustration with winners Monday and Wednesday I thought a profit was a certain thing however with low odds winners and no more returns for the week it ended with a small loss

Racing Post Longshot come to my rescue again this week with a winner on Tuesday - Gas Line Boy 10/1 landing a win to secure a profitable week for them however a losing run is now due so I really hope the other two tipsters buck there ideas up fast

Trading was a real mixed bag with some really good trades and some bad ones I had a couple of panic moments which resulted in loss and some silly errors but on the other hand I had some good trades and obviously still doing a lot of learning, below are a couple of screen shots from some of the trades through the week:

Tuesday Trade 1

Tuesday Trade 2
Wednesday
Saturday

I did mean to take screen shots of all trades but when it goes wrong its the last thing on your mind and when it goes well I often get carried away and also forget thankfully I did remember some screen shots and hopefully will remember to take more, also I'm not just going to screen shot the winners and make out i'm a huge success when i'm clearly not at this point however I do hope to be one day...

So another week has come and gone and another profit has been made not as much as last week but a profit non the less and small steps of learning and improvement gained on the trading front, from a betting point of view I have overlooked a potential tipster I can still follow and am going to be looking to start following them again from this week and see if it fits in well with my current tipsters as I really feel I need something else as the current three aren't enough on there own to achieve what I want. I will be back next Monday with a full catch up...

the ups and downs of trading

Slightly disappointed with the trades that I did last week making an overall total loss for the first time don’t get me wrong I didn’t lose anything like the amount that I did when I was just simply betting but to make a loss at all just make a small part of me crumble. I don’t know what I did wrong to be honest I didn’t do or look for anything different to what I’ve been doing for the past few weeks of trading but there was just something that was stopping me from making the good trades that I have been recently doing. The best day for me was Sunday making a total profit of £56.33 for the day which went along way to help minimize the loss that I would have made? I think that I am going to give it another week trading on just tennis alone to see if I can maximize the profits that I am making and if not I’m going to start and look for an extra sport to trade on just to see how easy it is to make a profit long term on an alternative sport.

Here are a few of the best trades that I did if only I couldn’t do this on every trade.

Is Change A Good Thing?

So is change a good thing or a bad thing well this week it was a good thing however that was due to a 14/1 winner without that I would of made a small loss the balance of only following three tipsters difficult knowing one result could really make a break the week…

Daily Bargain only managed one winner all week with Commitment 5/1 winning on Wednesday whilst Probet had a good week with 4 winners through the week  although with the odds and R4 deductions the overall profit wasn’t that impressive this week

Racing Post Longshot landed a 14/1 winner on Wednesday with Premier Portrait this winner basically guaranteed a profitable week the scary thing is I know these winners aren’t going to happen every week so it trying to find a balance on a week to week basis when Racing Post has no returns

Trading was a very up down week in truth firstly the tennis I was doing really well but a couple of bad trades and over confidence basically wrecked the week I was making steady progress but then I got a bit over confident made unessecary trades and over staked which resulted in a loss for the week

Football Trading was also a case of two halfs through the week I had limited games I could trade on and I focused more on one game at a time and made good progress before the weekend I was up just over £100 then the weekend come and I tried trading on multiple games and yeah you guessed it I made a right meal of it basically threw most of the good work away.. But I am still learning so I have to take the positives out of that and lessons to be learnt are to focus on one game at a time

Overall it has been a very good week making just short of £300 profit it obviously pleasing however without the winner from Racing Post I would  of been in the red hopefully Daily Bargain and Probet can provide better profits to compensate on future weeks also I feel more confident in my trading overall now even though the week’s trading wasn’t a huge success I have certainly taken steps in the right direction the big thing is going to be staying patient and disciplined because if I start doing what I did this week or chasing losses it could be a disaster

Totals for week
Daily Bargain -£40
ProBet +£20.40
Racing Post Longshot +£300
Trading Tennis -£17.64
Trading Football +£28.59

Two weeks later and really struggling

Well its about two weeks now since my last post and its been an extremely frustrating time my plans for making a fulltime income from betting never seemed so far away, most of the time I have found it difficult to even place the few bets I could of as its so annoying knowing that I was heading in the right direction to now being right back to square one.

With work at the moment its extremely difficult to get most bets on and even when I can I find it hard knowing am relying on a few bets literally one result makes or breaks a day... I have been practising trading on football with mixed results just as I thought I cracked It had a major set back so massive learning curve there still I also took a look at trading on the tennis off back of some of Nathans advice and had a few good results but I wouldn't be confident staking any real money on tennis at this point

Back To The Drawing Board

There is no point dwelling on what's happened I just got to get on with it and find a solution I am going to stay with Racing Post Longshot as I can place the bet with no pressure also going to stay with Daily Bargain and ProBets as these bets can usually be placed night before so these are easy to follow and upto now all profitable in addition to this I am going to keep chipping away at the trading there is some real opportunity's here I feel although I also realise it wont be easy consistently getting a profit trading

Last Two Weeks

To be blunt its not been good I missed a few winners to add to my misery and upped my stakes so a loss of £355 over the two weeks this was including my trading obviously not good and couldn't continue to do that week in week out but poor discipline from me was a big factor here as a couple of winners I missed out on would of made a huge difference and the upped stakes was just pure and simply lack of patience.

Fresh Challenge

Now I have got my head around the situation I am actually looking forward to the fresh challenge it has taken me a couple of weeks to adapt but It was a massive change and extremely frustrating but am looking forward now and will see what the next week brings

a rocky start but i got there in the end.

The past weeks trading hasn’t gone as well as I had originally hoped but despite my hopes being dashed I still managed to make a profit even if it was only £45.41 for the week. I had imagined that I would be making a lot more from trading on tennis by now but it seems to be a little steadier than I thought. I did have a couple of nightmare days though the week were I couldn’t back or lay at the right time to save my life and then other days it just managed to drop right every time making up for the losses with an added bit of profit I think that the aim for the next few weeks is to just upscale all of my trades and hopefully I will make a lot more but that’s easier said than done.

The start of the week got off to a flyer with a profit of £15.37 for the day but after this it just seemed to go downhill with a terrible day on Tuesday bringing a £12.28 loss and then Wednesday made a loss despite the very first trade of the day making me £2.08 and the total loss was £5.09. Thursday was the worst day by far with a massive loss of £21.92 but then the weekend bounced back with ever increasing profits right up to Sunday with the best trade that I have ever done so far.

another week learning the ropes

The first complete week of trading has gone well for me with a total profit of £38.26 which isn’t bad to say that I have only been trading for a couple of weeks but that’s not to say that I didn’t have some rocky days last week with 4 out of the 7 days losing money. I think that I have just about got my head around trading on tennis and I hope that I can learn the odds movement in other sports so I can spread my risk and make more profit.

Last weekend and the first couple of days of this week didn’t go well for me with every day making a loss but I only did one trade per day and I didn’t start making a profit until midweek and this is when I started doing multiple trades a day again

Here are a few of the best trades over the week.

Nightmare

Due to changes at work its practically impossible to manage the betting work load so had to have a major re-think in terms of how to move forward I was just building a nice portfolio of tipsters but last week was a complete write off as I didn't even attempt to bet instead spent most of the week trying to plan the best move forwards. I've not been in this position before and I must admit its really frustrating to know exactly what to do for the best but I have a few ideas so am going to try a few this week then take it from there.

In terms of tipsters I can still follow its going to be really limited I'm going to stay on with Longshot bets from Racing Post and Daily Bargain as these involve minimal effort to follow there are others that I could follow but for now just going to follow these I also will look to continue with my Football Bets and take another look at trading as I would have more time to trade on night games I know Nathan has been trading on tennis and has shared his thoughts with me but im not much of a tennis fan so I'm going to attempt to trade football and see how I proceed with that once the International l games are finished. I also will be looking to resume with my Rollover Challenge as this has potential to be successful and could prove to be a real gem come the end of each year.

Ideally I was targeting £50 per day but with a real cut back on the tipster front am not sure how possible this will be the big part will depend on how successful my trades and football bets are and of course the stakes I use I will have an update next week and see how this week pans out.

still learning

The last couple of days trading was a bit disappointing making an overall loss on Wednesday and Thursday but at this point I’m not that really bothered about making either profit or loss because if it means that in the future I am able to make money without really risking anything that’s got to be the end goal in my opinion. At the minuet I am only trading on tennis but to be honest I don’t really know the sport as well as I should and maybe that’s the reason that I haven’t made as much money as I had hoped. I’m looking forward to the Sochi formula 1 race coming up so maybe I will be able to make a bit extra money.

Wednesday altogether I did 3 trades on tennis but didn’t make anything from them. Here is the best of the three trades that I had.

Tuesdays trading went a little bit better than Wednesdays but still making a small loss. I suppose if I can get to the point where week in week out I am making money surely I will eventually be able to scale it up. Here are a few of the best trades that I did on Thursday.

fresh start trying something new

Didn’t have a single bet over the weekend, it was just ridiculous the amount of money that I have been losing on a day to day basis recently so I just thought its best to have a break and in the process I had an idea. A few week ago I made a small profit trading on the formula 1 so I thought why not just give that a shot starting from next week

I did a bit of research and found that one of the best sports that a lot of people trade on was tennis and I was surprised to find out that tennis is on almost every day perfect for me to practise on. Throughout Monday and Tuesday I had a few trades most of the trades that I had didn’t make me anything or very little I did however do a couple that made me a decent profit considering.

Monday: I had a total of 6 trades on Monday only a couple made me a profit and I broke even on the others.

Tuesdays trading went slightly better making a decent profit on two of the trades that I did out of a total of 3 trades, but the main thing is that I have managed to wrap my head around it.

Weekend Away

Well it didn’t turn out to be a good week in the end and with a short week and no weekend bets due to me going away for the weekend once I got behind there was just no turning things round

In the end I only had one tipster in profit and typically was a free tipster as a whole a frustrating week and whenever you miss bets like I did at the weekend you always wonder what would of happened obviously it could of gone bad to worse of I could have had some sort of recovery in truth when I don’t bet I just don’t even check the results I would rather not know.

This weeks profits
The biggest profit this week came from the Rollover Challenge bets which has now completed a series of five winners in a row which was fantastic in every way as I wasn’t sure if I could even do it I only risk £5 initially so its not a major loss at any time and if/when you do drop five in a row it’s a good profit

The only other profit come from Stable Insider with them backing Peace Accord 7/2 to win

Not Much happening
The Banker had a quite week with only one bet, Longshot I only got on two bets and GG Bet Advisor had no bets through the week, Lately The Banker has been in good form and winners from either Longshot or GG Bet Advisor would make a huge difference to my profits at the end of the week

Bad Week
Pounds to Punters struggles go on however please note I do only back 9/1+ bets advised so they actually could be achieving much better results than me but I only focus on there bets that are 9/1+ initially when I did this they got off to a flyer but the profits have now dwindled away and am currently in a small loss over all for them which is very disappointing but I can only see better times ahead so going to stick with it

Probet have been in fantastic form lately but struggled this week with 5/5 losing bets

Pricewise Extra hit one of there slumps with no winner insight but that never concerns me too much as they usually balance out and with big odds on certain bets can quickly turn things around

NH Confidential had no luck either this week as they had 5/5 losing bets

Roundup

All in all very frustrating week and a loss of £256.39 to show for it but I got to just brush it off and focus on the long-term its too easy to get suckered into thinking on a day to day or week to week basis in reality its about making profit but its about making profit on a month to month year to year basis its no good hitting profit 3 out of 4 weeks but then making a loss on the month

#Rollover Challenge Day 19

Well its only taken until Day19 on the Rollover Challenge to get five winners in a row which has resulted in a £250.29 profit after 19 bets so at this point would be fair to say its been a success obviously to make a profit over the year I need to do this again but with a £250 buffer the pressure is now off and have 50bets before I am gambling my own money...

So the winning bet was as followed

My new Favourite bet The draw at half time obviously only betting on certain games that I feel are more likely to win

As you can see 0-0 at half time so another winner I think I am going to stick with this bet more often as I seemed to find most success so far

So back to £5 stakes and lets see if I can do it all over again

Stakes for next bet is £5

still no profit in sight

Feeling slightly suicidal after Wednesday and Thursday with a loss of £135, soon I won’t have any money left to lose. Altogether I had 15 bets over the two days, 7 on Wednesday and 8 on Thursday out of all the bets that I had only 3 of them were winners and they all came from the same tipster. The winning horses that got me the most money back was finding your feet and the jockey was A P Macoy. Finding your feet is a 6 year old gelding that has only won one previous race before this one

Bettingexpert: by far these were the best tipster that I had used with all of the winning bets coming from them. They gave me 8 tips altogether with 3 of them going on to win the race they were in and in the process help stem the loss. The amount that I put on their tips came to £95 and the amount that I got back from them was £105 so that leaves me with a profit of £10.

gg.com: I took a total of 6 tips from this tipster over Wednesday and Thursday with none of them winning. The amount that I put on their tips was £120 and I dint get a penny back. I suppose that it is partially my fault really because I choose to go for the tips that would bring me the most amount of profit but maybe I might have to change the way I pick the tips

Betadvisor: gave me a single tip on Thursday and just what I expected it didn’t win making me a loss of £15 I think that my luck has well and truly run out. But surely I am overdue a big profit day I hope it comes soon.
