steady start to the weekend trading

I think that this must have been the easiest day trading that I have ever had with only two trades for the day and both of them were profitable. I’ve been looking around at different strategies for trading on tennis because at the minuet I have just been going blindly into it without any real direction and I think that is what is holding me back. So hopefully I will find one to give a go it soon

The first trade that I did today was on the match between Diego Schwartzman and simone bolelli I started off the trade by backing bolelli at 3.15 after watching all of the 1st set to be honest there wasn’t much between them so I went in to it blind and my tack tic was to just hope and pray that they odds went into my favour and they did just that in the 4th game of the 3rd set when the odds dropped to 1.88 netting myself £5.40

The second trade that I did today was on the Guido Pella v Juan Carlos saez match there wasn’t much between these two, both of them on two games each but that didn’t show in the odds Pella was the clear favourite so I decided to lay him at 1.06 in the fifth game of the 1st set and it paid off because the odds went up after he ended up losing the first set so that lead me to back him making £10.70 if I had waited a few more games the odds went all the way up to 3.85 so I would have made a lot more profit off this trade. But I just didn’t have the guts to take it any further.

a few close calls.

Another good day for me I am proud to say with a grand profit of £15.55, well not all that grand but at this moment in time I am just as happy simply making a regular profit. the first two trades that I did weren’t easy, close games and not much movement tested my nerve to the max.

The first trade that I did was the match between monfils and Federer. I watched the game for a while and decided to lay monfils 6 games into the 3rd set at 1.05 that’s when I thought Federer isn’t going to come back and this could be a loss so when he won the 8th game of the 3rd set and the odds went in my favour I got out of the trade, backing monfils at 1.07 making me a measly profit of £0.40 I’ll take that rather than a loss.

The second trade that I did was on the match between basic and kravchuk this was a hard game to trade on because it was just so close all the way through and there want much movement but I had a go never the less. I started off by laying basic at 2.52 on the 11th game of the 3rd set hoping that he would lose a few games on the trot, but that didn’t happen I had to wait right till the last game and still there wasn’t any movement so I decided to get out while I could by backing basic at 2.25, just managing too break even on that one

The last trade that I did today was the most lucrative for me making me a massive £14.95. it was on the match between pella and baena. I started the trade in the 3rd game of the first set by laying pella at 3.75 it was risky move really hoping that the odds would go higher that this and they did all the way up to 14 in the 3rd game of the second set that’s when I couldn’t hold out any longer so I backed him closing the trade, it was a good job that I got out when I did because pella came back and went on to win, sealing my profit of £15.55 for the day.

getting back on the horse

Let’s start with the trading that I did last week, if you can call it trading. I don’t know what went wrong to be honest it just seemed to slip away from me towards the middle of the week resulting in another loss of £34.45 for the week so I didn’t have any trades at the start of this week up until today when I finally motivated myself to have another go.

I made an appreciated £12.30 for the day which let’s face it isn’t the most that I have won in a single day but it’s a start in the right direction. I only had two trades today the first one being the match between saez and heraz, saez won the first set leading me to lay him at 1.15 hoping that heraz would come back and he did winning the next couple of games then the odds went up 1.27 so I backed him closing the trade then when saez won making me £3.60.

The second and final trade of the day was on the match between samper-montana and olivo. This was a close match most of the way through but I managed to make £8.70 of it. Started off by backing olivo 2.92 at the end of the first set hoping that the odds would come down. They went up slightly at the beginning of the second set, this is when my heart skipped a beat but after winning a few games they came down then I laid him at 1.56 and with samper-montana winning that gave me a profit of £8.70 on that trade.

A steady day for me but I am glad that I didn’t have any losing trades and hopefully I will be back with more profit tomorrow

back to baby steps

Last week was a steady week of trading for me I had a few days off at the start of the week just to get my head straight after the overall loss of the previous week. Surprisingly it seems to have paid off with a grand profit of £47.23 for the week. I didn’t do as many trades as I have done in the past couple of weeks, focusing more on the individual trade’s one at a time. I think that after last week I have started to head into the right direction again and back in to the profit I hope that I can continue the way that I am trading on tennis at the minuet and the next step will be to maximize my profits without it ending in another debilitating loss.

These are a few of the best trades that I did last week.

Gas Line Boy 10/1

Daily Bargain got off to a good start with a winner on Tuesday with Miss Buckshot 6/1 winning however with no other winners all week the week ended drawing a blank better than a loss but no progress made which was very frustrating after such a positive start

ProBet had a similar week with it ending in frustration with winners Monday and Wednesday I thought a profit was a certain thing however with low odds winners and no more returns for the week it ended with a small loss

Racing Post Longshot come to my rescue again this week with a winner on Tuesday - Gas Line Boy 10/1 landing a win to secure a profitable week for them however a losing run is now due so I really hope the other two tipsters buck there ideas up fast

Trading was a real mixed bag with some really good trades and some bad ones I had a couple of panic moments which resulted in loss and some silly errors but on the other hand I had some good trades and obviously still doing a lot of learning, below are a couple of screen shots from some of the trades through the week:

Tuesday Trade 1

Tuesday Trade 2
Wednesday
Saturday

I did mean to take screen shots of all trades but when it goes wrong its the last thing on your mind and when it goes well I often get carried away and also forget thankfully I did remember some screen shots and hopefully will remember to take more, also I'm not just going to screen shot the winners and make out i'm a huge success when i'm clearly not at this point however I do hope to be one day...

So another week has come and gone and another profit has been made not as much as last week but a profit non the less and small steps of learning and improvement gained on the trading front, from a betting point of view I have overlooked a potential tipster I can still follow and am going to be looking to start following them again from this week and see if it fits in well with my current tipsters as I really feel I need something else as the current three aren't enough on there own to achieve what I want. I will be back next Monday with a full catch up...

the ups and downs of trading

Slightly disappointed with the trades that I did last week making an overall total loss for the first time don’t get me wrong I didn’t lose anything like the amount that I did when I was just simply betting but to make a loss at all just make a small part of me crumble. I don’t know what I did wrong to be honest I didn’t do or look for anything different to what I’ve been doing for the past few weeks of trading but there was just something that was stopping me from making the good trades that I have been recently doing. The best day for me was Sunday making a total profit of £56.33 for the day which went along way to help minimize the loss that I would have made? I think that I am going to give it another week trading on just tennis alone to see if I can maximize the profits that I am making and if not I’m going to start and look for an extra sport to trade on just to see how easy it is to make a profit long term on an alternative sport.

Here are a few of the best trades that I did if only I couldn’t do this on every trade.

Is Change A Good Thing?

So is change a good thing or a bad thing well this week it was a good thing however that was due to a 14/1 winner without that I would of made a small loss the balance of only following three tipsters difficult knowing one result could really make a break the week…

Daily Bargain only managed one winner all week with Commitment 5/1 winning on Wednesday whilst Probet had a good week with 4 winners through the week  although with the odds and R4 deductions the overall profit wasn’t that impressive this week

Racing Post Longshot landed a 14/1 winner on Wednesday with Premier Portrait this winner basically guaranteed a profitable week the scary thing is I know these winners aren’t going to happen every week so it trying to find a balance on a week to week basis when Racing Post has no returns

Trading was a very up down week in truth firstly the tennis I was doing really well but a couple of bad trades and over confidence basically wrecked the week I was making steady progress but then I got a bit over confident made unessecary trades and over staked which resulted in a loss for the week

Football Trading was also a case of two halfs through the week I had limited games I could trade on and I focused more on one game at a time and made good progress before the weekend I was up just over £100 then the weekend come and I tried trading on multiple games and yeah you guessed it I made a right meal of it basically threw most of the good work away.. But I am still learning so I have to take the positives out of that and lessons to be learnt are to focus on one game at a time

Overall it has been a very good week making just short of £300 profit it obviously pleasing however without the winner from Racing Post I would  of been in the red hopefully Daily Bargain and Probet can provide better profits to compensate on future weeks also I feel more confident in my trading overall now even though the week’s trading wasn’t a huge success I have certainly taken steps in the right direction the big thing is going to be staying patient and disciplined because if I start doing what I did this week or chasing losses it could be a disaster

ProBet +£20.40
Racing Post Longshot +£300
Trading Tennis -£17.64
